Happy ?-vember

This 11th month of the year is November, right ? ... August, September, October .... November. Yes !! Definitely November !! Are you sure ? Well, did you know .....

.... for some people this month is Yesvember. They thought No-vember sounded too negative. They took out the negative (No) and replaced it with something positive (Yes). All month long they want people to think more positively, to try to do small positive things for other people, and to focus on good things, not bad things.

For others, this month is Movember. The "Mo" is short for moustache. In the National Hockey League all month players grow out their moustaches to show support for men's mental health issues. Actually, this goes beyond the hockey league and men around the world grow out moustaches or wear moustache pins to show support.

Another Movember campaign focuses on getting in shape. As the weather gets colder, people move indoors and get a little less active. So, in this case, the "Mo" is short for "move." They want people to get up off the sofa, or step away from their tablets etc, get outside and be more active.

It doesn't matter which you choose --- Yesvember or one of the Movembers --- the important thing is do not waste this month. The weather is nice, the leaves are colourful and life is too short, so make the most of it !!
